How to remove Kaspersky Anti-Virus

To delete Kaspersky Anti-Virus from your computer, follow these steps:

  1. To avoid incorrect uninstallation of the product, exit the program. To do this, follow the steps:
    • In the lower right corner of the screen, right-click on the icon Kaspersky Antivirus.
    • Select menu item Exit.

  1. Run the program installation wizard:
    • For OS users Windows XP.
    • For OS users Windows Vista.
    • For OS users Windows 7.
    • For OS users Windows 8:
  • From the Start screen, right-click on an empty space.
  • On the panel that appears at the bottom of the screen, click on the button All applications (All apps).

  • On the list Applications (Apps) find Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 and right-click on it.
  • On the pop-up panel, click Delete.

  • In the window Programs and components double-click on the program name with the left mouse button.

  1. In the window Saving objects you can specify settings that will be saved when the program is uninstalled:
    • License information;
    • Quarantine objects (the checkbox is active only if malicious objects were detected and quarantined in previous sessions of the program);
    • Program parameters (user settings of program components);
    • Data iChecker (technology iChecker used for program performance).

  1. In the window Confirmation of program deletion click on the button Delete to start the removal process.

  1. Wait until the process of deleting program files and registry keys is completed.
  2. To complete the removal of the program, a restart of the operating system is required. To immediately reboot the system, click in the window Kaspersky Anti-Virus on the button Yes. If you want to delay rebooting the system and perform it manually later, click the button No. After restarting your computer, the program will be completely removed from your computer.


Working with the utility to completely remove Kaspersky antivirus

To completely remove the program, follow these steps:
  1. Download the archive kavremvr.zip, and then extract it (for example, using the WinZip archiver program). Or download the executable file kavremvr.exe.
  2. Run the kavremvr.exe file by double-clicking on it with the left mouse button.
  3. Read the Kaspersky Lab License Agreement. Read the agreement carefully and, if you agree with all its points, click I agree.

  1. In the window Kaspersky Lab Products Remover Enter the security code shown in the picture in the empty field. If the code is not visible clearly, to re-generate the code, click on the refresh button to the right of the picture.
  2. Select from menu The following products were detected Kaspersky Lab program that was installed on your computer. Click Delete.
